We report from LGA House

This month's LGA Finance and Strategy Policy Review Group meeting focused on the regulation of the Investigatory Powers Act and how the use of surveillance powers within local authorities can have a positive impact upon crime. Dave Holland, Head of Regulatory Services at Cardiff City Council, highlighted some aspects of work that might merit covert surveillance and some of the difficulties councils have in the face of negative media attention.
