Local authorities need to influence skills provision
The first Finance and Strategy meeting of the new year kicked off with Philip Mind, a senior policy consultant at the LGA, presenting Skills and the Local Authority Role, which focuses on what can be learnt from working with the Learning & Skills Council. He also highlights the role local government needs to play in influencing local adult skills provision to ensure a better equipped workforce for the future.
